ଏହି ଲେଖାଟି ସାମାଜିକ ଜାତି ବାବଦରେ । ଏକାପରି ଉଚ୍ଚାରିତ ଶବ୍ଦ, ବ୍ରହ୍ମଣ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ ।

ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ (Brāhmaṇa) (ପାଳି/ସଂସ୍କୃତ: ब्राह्मण) ସ୍ମୃତିରେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣିତ ଚାରି ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭିତରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ । ସ୍ମୃତିରେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ, କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ, ବୈଶ୍ୟ ଓ ଶୂଦ୍ର ଚାରିଗୋଟି ଜାତି ବିଭାଜନ ରହିଅଛି ।
