ପାଲିପେରିଡୋନ, ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ବେପାର ନାମ ଇନଭେଗା, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଅସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ ବା ଏଟିପିକାଲ୍ ଆଣ୍ଟିସାଇକୋଟିକ୍ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ସିଜୋଫ୍ରେନିଆ ଏବଂ ସିଜୋଫେକ୍ଟିଭ୍ ବେମାରୀ ଇତ୍ୟାଦିର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୪] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଇପାରେ କିମ୍ବା ମାଂସପେଶୀରେ ଇଞ୍ଜେକ୍ସନ ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଇପାରେ ।^[୫] ଏହି ରୋଗର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଫଳ ବିଷୟରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଅପ୍ରକାଶିତ ସାହିତ୍ୟକୁ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ କରାଯାଏ, ଲାଭଗୁଡ଼ିକ କମ୍ ହୋଇଥାଏ ଏବଂ କେବଳ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ସାହିତ୍ୟକୁ ଦେଖିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା କ୍ଷତି ଅଧିକ ହୋଇଥାଏ ।^[୬]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ମୁଣ୍ଡବିନ୍ଧା, ନିଦ୍ରା ସମସ୍ୟା, ପାର୍କିନସୋନିଜ୍ମ, ଅନିଚ୍ଛାକୃତ ମାଂସପେଶୀ ଚଳନ, ମୁଣ୍ଡ ବୁଲାଇବା, ଉତ୍ତେଜନା, ଉଦାସୀନତା, ଓଜନ ବୃଦ୍ଧି, ଅଇ, ଶୁଖିଲା ପାଟି, କ୍ୟୁଟି (QT) ବିସ୍ତାର, ଏବଂ ଥକ୍କା ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୪] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ନ୍ୟୁରୋଲେପ୍ଟିକ ମାଲିଗନାଣ୍ଟ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ, ଟାର୍ଡିଭ୍ ଡିସକାଇନେସିଆ, ମଧୁମେହ ଏବଂ ହାଇପରପ୍ରୋଲାକ୍ଟିନେମିଆ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୫] ଡିମେନସିଆ ରୋଗ‌ଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ବୟସ୍କ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ଏହି ଔଷଧ ସେବନ ଯୋଗୁ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର ଆଶଙ୍କା ବଢ଼ିଯାଇଥାଏ ।^[୫] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର ଶିଶୁ ଉପରେ ନକାରାତ୍ମକ ପ୍ରଭାବ ପକାଇପାରେ ।^[୭] ଡୋପାମାଇନ୍ ଏବଂ ସେରୋଟୋନିନ୍ ଉପରେ ଏହାର ପ୍ରଭାବ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଉପକାର ମିଳୁଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ ।^[୫]
