ଲାନ୍ସୋପ୍ରାଜୋଲ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Lansoprazole, ଏକ ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ପ୍ରିଭାସିଡ/ Prevacid) ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ଯାହା ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀର ଅମ୍ଳ (stomach acid) କମେଇଦିଏ ।^[୧] ଏହା ପେପଟିକ ଅଲସର ଡିଜିଜ (peptic ulcer disease), ଗାସ୍ଟ୍ରୋଏସୋଫେଜିଆଲ ରିଫ୍ଲକ୍ସ ଡିଜିଜ ଓ ଜୋଲିଞ୍ଜର ଏଲିସନସ ଡିଜିଜ (Zollinger–Ellison syndrome) ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କର ଚିକିତ୍ସାରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୨] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରୋଟୋନ ପମ୍ପ ଇନହିବିଟର ବା ପିପିଆଇ (proton pump inhibitors/ PPI) ଔଷଧ ସ‌ହ ସମତୁଲ ଭାବରେ କାମ କରେ ।^[୩] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୧] ଏହାର ପ୍ରଭାବ କିଛି ଘଣ୍ଟା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇ ଦୁଇ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରହେ ।^[୧]

ଲାନ୍ସୋପ୍ରାଜୋଲର ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ କୋଷ୍ଠକାଠିନ୍ୟ, ଉଦର ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା (abdominal pain) ଓ ଅଇ (nausea) ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୧] ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ସାଂଘାତିକ ହେଲେ ଓଷ୍ଟିଓପୋରୋସିସ, ଅଳ୍ପ ରକ୍ତ ମାଗନେସିଅମ (low blood magnesium), କ୍ଲସ୍ଟ୍ରିଡିଅମ ଡିଫିସିଲ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ (Clostridium difficile infection) ଓ ନିମୋନିଆ ଆଦି ରୋଗ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୧] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥା ଓ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନ ସମୟରେ ଏହାର ନିରାପତ୍ତା ସନେହ ଜନ‌କ ।^[୪] ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀର ପାରାଏଟାଲ ଜୀବକୋଷରେ (parietal cell) ଥିବା ହାଇଡ୍ରୋଜେନ ପୋଟାସିଅମ ଏଟିପେଜକୁ (H⁺/K⁺-ATPase) ଅବରୋଧ କରି ଏହା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ ହୁଏ ।^[୧]

ଲାନ୍ସୋପ୍ରାଜୋଲ ସନ ୧୯୮୪ରେ ପେଟେଣ୍ଟ ହେବା ପରେ ସନ ୧୯୯୨ରେ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୫] ଏହା ଜେନେରିକ ଔଷଧ ନାମରେ (generic medication) ବିକ୍ରୟ ହୁଏ ।^[୨] ସନ ୨୦୧୯ରେ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ (United Kingdom) ଏନଏଚଏସକୁ (NHS) ଏହାର ଏକ ମାସର ଡୋଜ ପିଛା ପ୍ରାୟ ୫ ପାଉଣ୍ଡ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ କରିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ୁଥିଲା । ^[୨] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହି ଔଷଧ ବାବଦ ଏକ ମାସରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୫.୪୦ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାର ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହୁଏ ।^[୬] ସନ ୨୦୧୬ରେ ଏହାର ୪ ନିୟୁତରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରେସକ୍ରିପସନ ହୋଇ ସର୍ବାଧିକ ପ୍ରେସକ୍ରିସନ ତାଲିକାର ୧୪୧ ତମ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଥଲା । ^[୭]
