ଫ୍ଲୋରୋୟୁରାସିଲ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Fluorouracil ବା 5-FU), ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଆଡ୍ରୁସିଲ/Adrucil) ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା କର୍କଟ ରୋଗର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରାଯାଏ । କୋଲୋନ କର୍କଟ, ଗ୍ରାସନଳୀ କର୍କଟ, ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀ କର୍କଟ, ଅଗ୍ନାଶୟ କର୍କଟ, ସ୍ତନ କର୍କଟ ଓ ଗର୍ଭାଶୟ ଗ୍ରୀବା କର୍କଟଇତ୍ୟାଦି ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ ଏହା ଶିରାଭ୍ୟନ୍ତର ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ (injection into a vein ) ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୨] ଏକ କ୍ରିମ ଆକାରରେ ଏହା ଆକ୍ଟିନିକ କେରାଟୋସିସ (actinic keratosis) ଓ ବାସାଲ ସେଲ କର୍କଟ (basal cell carcinoma) ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୩]

ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ଫ୍ଲୋରୋୟୁରାସିଲ ନେବାପରେ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ଦେଖାଯାଏ । ଏହାର ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ପାଟି ପ୍ରଦାହ, ଅରୁଚି, ସାଇଟିପିନିଆ (low blood cell counts), କେଶହାନୀ ଓ ଚର୍ମ ପ୍ରଦାହା ଦେଖାଯାଏ ।^[୨] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ଯେ କୌଣସି ଧରଣର ଏହି ଔଷଧ ନେଲେ ଶିଶୁର ହାନୀ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୨] ଫ୍ଲୋରୋୟୁରାସିଲ ଏକ ଆଣ୍ଟିମେଟାବୋଲାଇଟ (antimetabolite) ଓ ପାଇରିମିଡିନ ଆନାଲଗ (pyrimidine analog) ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଔଷଧ ।^[୪]^[୫] ଏହାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟବିଧି ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇ ନଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଥାଇମିଡାଇଲେଟ ସିନ୍ଥେଟେଜର (pyrimidine analog) କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକୁ ଅବରୋଧ କରି ଡିଏନଏ (DNA) ତିଆରି ବନ୍ଦ କରୁଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ । ^[୨]
