ଡେଫେରିପ୍ରୋନ ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Deferiprone, ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଫେରିପ୍ରୋକ୍ସ ବ୍ରାଣ୍ଡ ଏକ ବେପାର ନାମ, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ଥାଲାସେମିଆ ମେଜରରେ ରକ୍ତଦାନ ହେତୁ ଲୌହ ଅତିଭାରର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୩] ^[୪] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୫] ଉନ୍ନତ ରକ୍ତ ଚିହ୍ନର ପ୍ରମାଣ‌କୁ ସମର୍ଥନ କରେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଲକ୍ଷଣ କିମ୍ବା ବଞ୍ଚିବା ନୁହେଁ । ^[୪]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଲାଲ-ବାଦାମୀ ପରିସ୍ରା, ଅଇ, ପେଟ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଏବଂ ବାନ୍ତି ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୩] ଅନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ ଶ୍ୱେତ ରକ୍ତ କଣିକା, ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ଏବଂ ଦୀର୍ଘସ୍ଥାୟୀ କ୍ୟୁଟି ବା ଲଙ୍ଗ କ୍ୟୁଟି ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୩] ^[୪] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର କଲେ ଶିଶୁର କ୍ଷତି ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୪] ଏହା ଏକ ଲୁହା ଚିଲେଟର । ^[୩]

୧୯୯୪ ମସିହାରେ ବ୍ୟବସାୟିକ ଭାବରେ ଡେଫେରିପ୍ରୋନ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ହେଲା ^[୬] ଏହା ପ୍ରଥମେ ୟୁରୋପ ଏବଂ ଏସିଆରେ ଅନୁମୋଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୭] ଡିଫେରେସିରକ୍ସର ବିକଳ୍ପ ଭାବରେ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଜରୁରୀ ଔଷଧ ତାଲିକାରେ ଏହାର ନାମ ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ଅଛି ।^[୮] ଏହା ଏକ ସାଧାରଣ ଔଷଧ ଭାବରେ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ।^[୫] ପରେ ଏହା ୨୦୧୧ରେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଅନୁମୋଦନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ।^[୪] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଜ୍ୟରେ ୫୦୦ ମିଗ୍ରା ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ୧୦୦ ବଟିକା ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୩୦ ପାଉଣ୍ଡ ଥିଲା ।^[୫] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏହି ରାଶିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୭,୫୦୦ ଡଲାର ଅଟେ ।^[୯]
