ଆଲେଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋନିକ ଏସିଡ (Alendronic acid, ଏକ ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଫୋସାମାକ୍ସ/ Fosamax) ଏକ ବାଇଫସଫୋନେଟ ଔଷଧ (bisphosphonate medication) ଯାହା ଓଷ୍ଟିଓପୋରୋସିସ ଓ ଅସ୍ଥିପାଜେଟସ ରୋଗ (Paget's disease of bone) ଚିକିତ୍ସାରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୧] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୧] ଔଷଧ ସାଥିରେ ଜୀବସାର ଘ (en:vitamin D), କ୍ୟାଲସିଅମ ପରିପୂରକ (en:calcium supplementation) ଦିଆଯାଏ ଓ ଜୀବନ‌ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟାର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବାକୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୧]

ଆଲେଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋନିକ ଏସିଡର ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ କୋଷ୍ଠକାଠିନ୍ୟ, ଉଦର ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା, ଅଇ ଓ ଗାସ୍ଟ୍ରୋଏସୋଫେଜିଆଲ ରିଫ୍ଲକ୍ସ ଡିଜିଜ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୧] ସାଂଘାତିକ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଗ୍ରାସନଳୀ ସମସ୍ୟା, ଫିମର ଅସ୍ଥିଭଗ୍ନ (femur fracture) ଓ ହନୁହାଡ଼ର ଓଷ୍ଟିଓନେକ୍ରୋସିସ (osteonecrosis of the jaw) ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୧] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥା ଓ କ୍ରନିକ ବୃକ୍‌କ ରୋଗରେ (poor kidney function) ଏହା ଦେବାକୁ ମନା କରାଯାଏ ।^[୨] ଅସ୍ଥିକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗୁଥବା ଜୀବକୋଷମାନଙ୍କର କାମକୁ ଆଲେଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋନିକ ଏସିଡ କମେଇଦିଏ ।^[୧]
