ଓଣ୍ଡାନ୍‌ସେଟ୍ରନ୍, ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଜୋଫ୍ରାନ୍, ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା କେମୋଥେରାପି, ରାଡିଏସନ୍ ଥେରାପି ଓ ଅପରେଶନ ପରେ ହେଉଥିବା ଅଇ ଓ ବାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରତିରୋଧ କରିବାକୁ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୧] ଗାସ୍ଟ୍ରୋଏଣ୍ଟେରାଇଟିସ (ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀ-ଅନ୍ତନଳୀ ପ୍ରଦାହ) ରୋଗରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହା ଦେଲେ ଉପକାରରେ ଆସେ । ^[୨]^[୩] ମୋସନ ସିକ୍‌ନେସ (ଯାତ୍ରାକାଳୀନ ଅସୁସ୍ଥତା) ଯୋଗୁ ହେଉଥିବା ବାନ୍ତିରେ ଏହାର କିଛି ପ୍ରଭାବ ପଡ଼େନାହିଁ ।^[୪] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଓ ମାଂସପେଶୀ ବା ଶିରାଭ୍ୟନ୍ତରରେ ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ୍ ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଇପାରେ ।^[୧]

ଓଣ୍ଡାନ୍‌ସେଟ୍ରନ୍‌ର ମୂଖ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ତରଳ ଝାଡ଼ା, ମୁଣ୍ଡବଥା, ନିଦ୍ରାହୀନତା ଓ ଗଲୁ ଲାଗିବା ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ଦେଖାଯାଏ । ସାଂଘାତିକ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଦୀର୍ଘ କ୍ୟୁଟି ଓ ଆନାଫାଇଲାକ୍ସିସ ହୋଇପାରେ । ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ଏହା ନିରାପଦ ପ୍ରତେ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହା ବିଷୟରେ ବିଶେଷ ଅନୁଶୀଳନ ହୋଇନାହିଁ । ଏହା ଏକ ସେରୋଟୋନିନ୍ ୫-ଏଚଟି_୩ ରିସେପ୍ଟର ବିରୋଧୀ.^[୧] ଡୋପାମିନ ରିସେପ୍ଟର ବା ମସ୍କାରିନିକ୍ ରିସେପ୍ଟର ସମୂହ ଉପରେ ଓଣ୍ଡାନ୍‌ସେଟ୍ରନ୍‌ର ପ୍ରଭାବ ନାହିଁ ।^[୫]

ଓଣ୍ଡାନ୍‌ସେଟ୍ରନ୍ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସନ ୧୯୯୦ରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୬] ଏହାର ନାମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ ଅଛି ଯାହା ମୌଳିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସିସ୍ଟମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ।^[୭] ଏହା ଜେନେରିକ ଔଷଧ ନାମରେ ଉପଲବ୍‌ଧ ହୁଏ ।^[୧] ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ମିଳୁଥିବା ଓଣ୍ଡାନ୍‌ସେଟ୍ରନ୍‌ର ହୋଲସେଲ ମୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୦.୧୦ରୁ ୦.୭୬ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାର । ^[୮] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହାର ଏକ ବଟିକାର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧.୩୭ ଡଲାର ।^[୧]
