ମିଥାଇଲଏର୍ଗୋମେଟ୍ରିନ, ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ବେପାର ନାମ ମିଥେରଗାଇନ, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ନିମ୍ନ ଧରଣର ଗର୍ଭାଶୟ ସଙ୍କୋଚନ କାରଣରୁ ପ୍ରସବପର ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।[୧] ଏହା ଅକ୍ସିଟୋସିନ୍ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଏହି ଧରଣର ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ କମ୍ ପସନ୍ଦ କରାଯାଏ ।[୨] କରୋନାରୀ ଭାସୋସ୍ପାଜ୍ମ କାରଣରୁ ଆଞ୍ଜିନା ଅଛି କି ନାହିଁ ତାହା ଯାଞ୍ଚ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୋଇଛି ।[୧] ଏହା ମାଂସପେଶୀରେ ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଦ୍ୱାରା, ପାଟିରେ କିମ୍ବା ବେଳେବେଳେ ଏକ ଶିରାରେ ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।[୨] [୧]
