ସେର୍ଟ୍ରାଲିନ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Sertraline, ଏକ ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଜୋଲୋଫ୍ଟ/ Zoloft) ଏକ ସେରୋଟୋନିନ ଆଣ୍ଟାଗୋନିସ୍ଟ ଓ ରିଅପଟେକ ଇନ‌ହିବିଟର (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor)/ SSRI) ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଅବସାଦରୋଧୀ (antidepressant) ଔଷଧ ।^[୫] ମୂଖ୍ୟତଃ ଏହା ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଅବସାଦ ବେମାରୀ, ଅବସେସିଭ-କମ୍ପଲସିଭ ଡିଜଅର୍ଡ଼ର, ପ୍ୟାନିକ ଡିଜ‌ଅର୍ଡ଼ର ଓ ସାମାଜିକ ଉତ୍କଣ୍ଠା ବେମାରୀ (social anxiety disorder) ଆଦି ରୋଗରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୫] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଅବସାଦରୋଧୀ ଔଷଧ ଭଳି ଏହା ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଅଟେ । ^[୫] ସେଟ୍ରାଲିନକୁ ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ । ^[୫]

ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ତରଳ ଝାଡ଼ା, ଯୌନ ସମସ୍ୟା (sexual dysfunction) ଓ ନିଦ୍ରା ସମସ୍ୟା (troubles with sleep) ଦେଖାଯାଏ । ^[୫] ସାଂଘାତିକ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ହେଲେ ୨୫ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ଲୋକର ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା ସଙ୍କଟ ରହେ ବା ସେରୋଟୋନିନ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ (serotonin syndrome) ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୫] It is unclear whether use during ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥା ଓ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟ ପାନ (breastfeeding) ସମୟରେ ଏହାର ନିରାପତ୍ତା ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ନୁହେଁ । ^[୬] ମାଓ ନିହିବିଟର (MAO inhibitor) ଔଷଧ ସ‌ହିତ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରାଯାଏନାହିଁଁ ।^[୫] ମସ୍ତିଷ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅଧିକ ସେରୋଟୋନିନ (serotonin) ପ୍ରାଭାବ ପକେଇ ସେର୍ଟ୍ରାଲିନ କାମ କରୁଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ । ^[୫]

ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ସନ ୧୯୯୧ରେ ପ୍ରଥମରୁ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରୁଥିବା ଫାଇଜର (Pfizer) କମ୍ପାନୀର ସେର୍ଟ୍ରାଲିନ ଔଷଧ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୫] ଅଧୁନା ଏହା ଏହା ଜେନେରିକ ଔଷଧ ନାମରେ (generic medication) ବିକ୍ରୟ ହେଉଛି ।^[୫] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ସନ ୨୦୧୮ରେ ଏହାର ଏକ ମାସ ଡୋଜର ହୋଲସେଲ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୧.୫୦ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାର ଅଛି ।^[୭] ସନ ୨୦୧୬ରେ ଏହା ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାର ସର୍ବାଧିକ ମାନସିକ ପ୍ରେସକ୍ରିପସନ ଔଷଧ ଥଲା,^[୮] ଓ ସନ ୨୦୧୩ରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରେସକ୍ରିପସନ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୧ ନିୟୁତ ଥିଲା ।^[୯]
