ଫ୍ଲୁଭୋକ୍ସାମାଇନ, ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଲୁଭକ୍ସ, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ସିଲେକ୍ଟିଭ୍ ସେରୋଟୋନିନ୍ ରିଅପଟେକ୍ ଇନହିବିଟର (SSRI) ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଔଷଧ ।^[୫] ଏହା ମୁଖ୍ୟତଃ ଅବସେସିଭ୍-କମ୍ପଲସିଭ ଡିଜଅର୍ଡ଼ର ରୋଗର (OCD) ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୫] ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଅବସାଦ ବେମାରୀ, ବୁଲେମିଆ ଏବଂ ପ୍ୟାନିକ୍ ଡିଜଅର୍ଡର୍, ସାମାଜିକ ଚିନ୍ତା ବ୍ୟାଧି ଏବଂ ଆଘାତୋତ୍ତର ଚାପ ବେମାରୀ ଭଳି ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବହାର ହୁଏ ।^[୬] ^[୭] ^[୮] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୫]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଅଇ, ନିଦ୍ରାଳୁ ଭାବ, ଯୌନ ସମସ୍ୟା, ଝାଳ ଏବଂ ଉତ୍ତେଜନା ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୫] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ୨୫ ବର୍ଷରୁ କମ୍ ବୟସରେ ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା ହେବାର ଆଶଙ୍କା ଏବଂ ଯକୃତ ଜନିତ ସମସ୍ୟା ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୫] ^[୬] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର ଅସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଅଟେ ।^[୫] ଫ୍ଲୁଭକ୍ସାମାଇନ୍ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ପାଇଁ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନୁହେଁ । ^[୯]

୧୯୯୪ ମସିହାରେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ ଫ୍ଲୁଭକ୍ସାମାଇନ୍ ଅନୁମୋଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୫] ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ ଏହାର ନାମ ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ଅଛି । ^[୧୦] ଏହା ଏକ ସାଧାରଣ ଔଷଧ ଭାବରେ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ଅଛି ।^[୬] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଜ୍ୟରେ ୨୦୨୦ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଦୈନିକ ୧୦୦ମିଗ୍ରାର ସାଧାରଣ ମାତ୍ରା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତି ମାସରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୮ ପାଉଣ୍ଡ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହୋଇଥାଏ ।^[୬] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏହି ପରିମାଣ ୨୦୨୧ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୫ ଡଲାର ଥିଲା ।^[୧୧]
