ପେରାମପାନେଲ, ଏକ ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଫାଇକୋମ୍ପା, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ଆଂଶିକ ବାତ ଏବଂ ସାଧାରଣ ଟନିକ୍-କ୍ଲୋନିକ୍ ବାତ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ରୋଗୀର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୪] ଏହା ହୁଏତ ଅନ୍ୟ ଔଷଧ ମିଶ୍ରଣ ବ୍ୟତୀତ କିମ୍ବା ସ‌ହିତ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୬] ^[୭] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୭]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ନିଦ୍ରାଳୁଭାବ, ବିରକ୍ତିକରତା, ଅଇ, ଓଜନ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଏବଂ ଶାରୀରିକ ସମନ୍ୱୟର ଅଭାବ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୭] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ହତ୍ୟା କିମ୍ବା ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା, ଔଷଧ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ସ‌ହିତ ଇଓସିନୋଫିଲିଆ ଏବଂ ସିଷ୍ଟମିକ୍ ଲକ୍ଷଣ (DRESS) ଏବଂ ଅପବ୍ୟବହାର ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୪] ଏହା ଲେଭୋନରଜେଷ୍ଟ୍ରଲ୍ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁଥିବା ଜନ୍ମ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣର ପ୍ରଭାବକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ହ୍ରାସ କରିଥାଏ ।^[୪] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର କଲେ ଶିଶୁର କ୍ଷତି କରିପାରେ ।^[୮] ଏହା ଆମ୍ପା ରିସେପ୍ଟରକୁ (α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptor, also known as AMPA receptor) ଅବରୋଧ କରି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ ହୁଏ ।^[୯]

୨୦୧୨ ମସିହାରେ ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏବଂ ୟୁରୋପରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ପେରାମପାନେଲ ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ ଅନୁମୋଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୬]^[୪] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏହାର ୪ ସପ୍ତାହର ଔଷଧ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ୨୦୨୧ ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୦୦୦୦ ଡଲାର ଥିଲା ।^[୧୦] ଡ୍ରଗ୍ ଏନଫୋର୍ସମେଣ୍ଟ ଆଡମିନିଷ୍ଟ୍ରେସନ‌ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହା ଏକ ସିଡ୍ୟୁଲ୍ ତୃତୀୟ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ପଦାର୍ଥ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚିତ ଅଟେ ।^[୪]
