ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେ ଭାରତର ସର୍ବଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ରାଜପଥ । ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ 6 କିମ୍ବା 8 ଲେନ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ହେଇଥାଏ ଓ ଏଥିରେ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ପ୍ରବେଶ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ରହିଥାଏ ।ଏଥିରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ ଓ ନିର୍ଗମ କେତେକ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଟ ପଥଦ୍ୱାରା ହେଇଥାଏ । ଭାରତରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା 1,455 କିଲୋମିଟରର ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେ  ରହିଛି । [୧]ଭାରତର ଜାତୀୟ ରାଜପଥ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପଦ୍ୱାରା ଭାରତ ସରକାର ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେ ଆହୁରି 18,637 କିଲୋମିଟର 2022 ମସିହା ଶୁଦ୍ଧା ନିର୍ମାଣ ପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା ରଖିଛନ୍ତି । ଏହା ଭାରତୀୟ ରାସ୍ତା ପରିବହନ ମନ୍ତରାଳୟଦ୍ୱାରା ନିର୍ମିତ ଓ ରକ୍ଷ୍ୟଣାବେଶିତ ହେବ ।  [୨]

ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଆଗ୍ରା -ଲକ୍ଷ୍ନୋ ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେ ଭାରତର ଦୀର୍ଘତମ  ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେ ହେଇ ରହିଛି । ଏହା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ନୋଇଦା-ଆଗ୍ରା ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେ  ଦୀର୍ଘତମ ଥିଲା । ଆଗ୍ରା -ଲକ୍ଷ୍ନୋ ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସୱେରେ 150 ବିଲିଅନ ଟଙ୍କା ଖରଚ ହୋଇଛି ।  [୩][୪]
