ସୁଲିଣ୍ଡାକ ହେଉଛି ଏକ ନନ୍ ଷ୍ଟେରଏଡାଲ୍ ଆଣ୍ଟି-ଇନ୍‌ଫ୍ଲାମେଟୋରୀ ଔଷଧ (NSAID) ଯାହା ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଦାହର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୨] ଗାଉଟ, ଅଷ୍ଟିଓଆର୍ଥ୍ରାଇଟିସ୍ ଏବଂ ରିଉମାଟଏଡ ଆର୍ଥ୍ରାଇଟିସ୍ ଭଳି ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ ଏହା ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୩] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୩] ଏହି ଔଷଧର ପ୍ରଭାବ ପ୍ରାୟ ଏକ ଘଣ୍ଟା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇ ୧୬ ଘଣ୍ଟା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରହିଥାଏ ।^[୧]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ବାନ୍ତି, ତରଳ ଝାଡ଼ା, ରାସ, ମୁଣ୍ଡବିନ୍ଧା ଏବଂ ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀରେ ଅସୁବିଧା ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୨] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଯକୃତ ସମସ୍ୟା, ପାନକ୍ରିଆଟାଇଟିସ, ଆଲର୍ଜି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା, ବୃକ୍‌କ ସମସ୍ୟା, ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ ଏବଂ ହୃଦଘାତ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୨] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାର ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଭାଗରେ ଏହାକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ ।^[୨] ଏହା କ‌କ୍ସ-୧ ଓ କ‌କ୍ସ-୨ମାନଙ୍କୁ (COX-1 ଏବଂ COX-2) ଅବରୋଧ କରି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ ହୁଏ।^[୨]

୧୯୬୯ ମସିହାରେ ସୁଲିଣ୍ଡାକ ପେଟେଣ୍ଟ୍ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ ୧୯୭୬ରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ ଅନୁମୋଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୪] ଏହା ଏକ ସାଧାରଣ ଔଷଧ ଭାବରେ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ।^[୩] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଏହି ଔଷଧର ୨୦୦ମିଗ୍ରା ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ୫୬ଟି ଟାବଲେଟର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୪୦ ପାଉଣ୍ଡ ।^[୩] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏହି ରାଶିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୫ ଡଲାର ଅଟେ । ^[୫]
