ମହାଦେଶ କେତେଗୁଡ଼ିଏ ଦେଶକୁ ନେଇ ତିଆରି । ପୃଥିବୀରେ ୭ଟି ମହାଦେଶ ଅଛି । ଆୟତନ ଅନୁସାରେ ମହାଦେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକ ହେଲେ: ଏସିଆ, ଆଫ୍ରିକା, ଉତ୍ତର ଆମେରିକା, ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଆମେରିକା, ଇଉରୋପ, ଆଣ୍ଟର୍କଟିକା ଓ ଅଷ୍ଟ୍ରେଲିଆ ।[୧]

ଏହି ଶେଷ ମଡେଲକୁ ଏକ ଆରମ୍ଭ ଭାବେ ବ୍ୟବହାର କଲେ ଅନ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରୀୟ ଅଲମ୍ପିକ ସମିତି କେବଳ ଲୋକ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ମହାଦେଶ ଭାବେ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଥାଏ (ଆଣ୍ଟାର୍କଟିକାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ି) ଏବଂ ତେଣୁ ଅଲମ୍ପିକ ଲୋଗୋରେ[୧୩] ଦର୍ଶାଯାଇଥିବା ଭଳି ଏକ ପାଞ୍ଚ-ମହାଦେଶ ମଡେଲ ।[୪][୫]
