ବାଇସୋପ୍ରୋଲୋଲ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Bisoprolol, ବେପାର ନାମ ଜେବାଟା/Zebeta) ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ହୃତ୍‌ପିଣ୍ଡ ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ (heart disease) ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୪] ଉଚ୍ଚ ରକ୍ତଚାପ (high blood pressure), ଆଞ୍ଜିନା ପେକ୍ଟୋରିସ (chest pain from not enough blood flow to the heart) ଓ ହୃଦ୍‌ପାତ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୪]^[୫] ପାଟିରେ ଏହି ଔଷଧ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୪]

ବାଇସୋପ୍ରୋଲୋଲର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ମୁଣ୍ଡବଥା, ଥକ୍କା ଅନୁଭବ, ତରଳ ଝାଡ଼ା ଓ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତୀୟ ଇଡିମା/ଶୋଥ (swelling in the legs) ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ଲକ୍ଷଣ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ।^[୪] ସାଂଘାତିକ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଆଜ୍‌ମା ରୋଗ ବୃଦ୍ଧିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ଅଳ୍ପ ରକ୍ତ ଶର୍କରା ଚିହ୍ନିବା ଶକ୍ତି ଅବରୋଧ ହୁଏ ଓ ହୃଦ୍‌ପାତ ଖରାପ ଦିଗକୁ ଗତି କରେ ।^[୬] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କଲେ ଶିଶୁ ପ୍ରତି ବିପଦ ଥାଏ ।^[୭] ଏହା ବିଟା ବ୍ଲକର ( Beta blocker) ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଓ ବିଟା_୧ (β₁ selective) ସିଲେକ୍ଟିଭ ଟାଇପର ଔଷଧ ।^[୪]

ବାଇସୋପ୍ରୋଲୋଲ ସନ ୧୯୭୬ରେ ପେଟେଣ୍ଟ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଓ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ସନ ୧୯୭୬ରେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୮] ଏହାର ନାମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ (World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines) ଅଛି ଯାହା ମୌଳିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସିସ୍ଟମ (health system) ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ।^[୯] ଏହା ଜେନେରିକ ନାମରେ (generic medication) ବିକ୍ରୟ ହୁଏ ।^[୪] ବିକାଶଶୀଳ ଦେଶମାନଙ୍କରେ (developing world) ଏହି ଔଷଧର ଏକ ମାସର ଡୋଜର ହୋଲସେଲ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୨.୯୮ରୁ ୪.୯୪ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାର ।^[୧୦] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହାର ଏକ ମାସ ଡୋଜର ହୋଲସେଲ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୨୫ରୁ ୫୦ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାର ।^[୧୧]
