ଏସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Escitalopram ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ସିପ୍ରାଲେକ୍ସ/ Cipralex ଓ ଲେକ୍ସାପ୍ରୋ/ Lexapro ଇତ୍ୟାଦି) ଏକ ଅବସାଧରୋଗୀ (antidepressant) ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ସିଲେକ୍ଟିଭ ସେରୋଟୋନିନ ରିଅପଟେକ ଇନ‌ହିବିଟର ଶ୍ରେଣୀର (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଏକ ଔଷଧ ।^[୨] ଏହା ମୂଖ୍ୟତଃ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଅବସାଦ ବେମାରୀ ବା ଉତ୍କଣ୍ଠା ବେମାରୀ (generalized anxiety disorder) ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରାଯାଏ ।^[୨] ଏହି ଔଷଧ ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ । ^[୨]

ଏହାର ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ନିଦ୍ରା ସମସ୍ୟା, ଅଇ, ଯୌନ ସମସ୍ୟା (sexual problems) ଓ ଥକ୍କା ଅନୁଭବ ହୁଏ ।^[୨] ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ସାଂଘାତିକ ହେଲେ ବୟସ ୨୫ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସର ଲୋକ ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା ପ୍ରବଣ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ।^[୨] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥା ଓ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନ ସମୟରେ ଏହି ଔଷଧର ନିରାପତ୍ତା ବିଷୟ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ । ^[୩] ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଥିବା ସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମର ଏହା ସ୍ତିରିଓଆଇସୋମର, ତେଣୁ ଇଂରାଜୀରେ ସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ (citalopram) ସ‌ହିତ 'ଇଏସ' ଯୋଗକରାଯିବାଦ୍ୱାରା ଏସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ (Escitalopram) ହୋଇଛି ।^[୨]

ସନ ୨୦୦୨ରେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୨] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହାର ଏକ ମାସ ଡୋଜର ହୋଲସେଲ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ସନ ୨୦୧୭ର ହିସାବ ଅନୁସାରେ ୨.୦୪ ଡଲାର ।^[୪] ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ସନ ୨୦୧୮ରେ ବ୍ରାଣ୍ଡ ନଥିବା ଏସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ, ବ୍ରାଣ୍ଡ ଔଷଧ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ୨୦ ଗୁଣ କମ ମୂଲ୍ୟରେ ମିଳେ ।^[୫] ଏସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ ଦେବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅନେକ ସମୟରେ ଦୁଇ ଗୁଣ ଅଧିକ ଡୋଜର ସିଟାଲୋପ୍ରାମ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦିଆଯାଉଛି ।^[୬]
