ମାଧବାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ (କନ୍ନଡ : ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯ, ସଂସ୍କୃତ : श्री मध्वाचार्य) (୧୨୩୮-୧୩୧୭) ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଭାରତୀୟ ଦାର୍ଶନିକ ଓ ଭକ୍ତି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନର ଜଣେ ମୂଖ୍ୟ ପୁରୋଧା ଥିଲେ । ମାଧବାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କର୍ଣ୍ଣାଟକର ଉଡୁପିଠାରେ ଜନ୍ମ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ଜନ୍ମ ନାମ ବାସୁଦେବ ଥିଲା।ମାଧବଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ 13 ତମ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀରେ ଭାରତରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣାଟକ ରାଜ୍ୟର ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଉପକୂଳରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ | କିଶୋର ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ସେ ଏକାଦାଣ୍ଡି କ୍ରମର ବ୍ରହ୍ମା-ସମ୍ପ୍ରଦାୟ ଗୁରୁ ଅଚ୍ୟୁତପ୍ରକାଶରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇ ଏକ ସାନାସୀ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ମାଧବ ହିନ୍ଦୁ ଦର୍ଶନର ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀୟ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ କରିଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ଆଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଉପନିଷଦ, ଭଗବଦ୍ ଗୀତା ଏବଂ ବ୍ରହ୍ମା ସୂତାର ଉପରେ ମନ୍ତବ୍ୟ ଲେଖିଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ସଂସ୍କୃତରେ ତିରିଶଟି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାରା ତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନିତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ତାଙ୍କର ଅନେକ ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥରେ ମାଧବଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନିଜକୁ ବିଷ୍ଣୁଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ପବନ ଦେବତା ବାୟୁର ତୃତୀୟ ଅବତାର ବୋଲି ଘୋଷଣା କରିଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ନିଜକୁ ହନୁମାନ ବୋଲି କହିଥିଲେ,ମାଧବ ତାଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ କାଳରେ ଟେଣ୍ଟୁଲି ମଞ୍ଜିକୁ ସୁନା ମୁଦ୍ରାରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା, ଚାରି ହଜାର ବନ୍ଧାକୋବି ଏବଂ ତିରିଶ ବଡ ହାଣ୍ଡି କ୍ଷୀର ଖାଇବା, ଲାଡିବା ଏବଂ ଡକାୟତ ଏବଂ ବଣୁଆ ଜନ୍ତୁ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଜିତିବା, ଗଙ୍ଗା ପାର ହେବା ଭଳି ଅନେକ ଚମତ୍କାର କରିଥିବା କୁହାଯାଉଛି। ପୋଷାକ ଓଦା, ଏବଂ ରାତିରେ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଏକ ପାଠର ବ୍ୟାଖ୍ୟା କରୁଥିବାବେଳେ ଦୀପ ଲିଭିବା ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ବଡ ଆଙ୍ଗୁଠିର ନଖ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଛାତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଲୋକ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ
