Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name hi is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code hi, for example: {{Translated page |hi |name of page at ହିନ୍ଦୀ Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the ହିନ୍ଦୀ Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from ହିନ୍ଦୀ Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |hi}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|hi| some text in ହିନ୍ଦୀ}} wraps the text with <span lang="hi"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code hi to include articles in Category:Articles containing ହିନ୍ଦୀ-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |ହିନ୍ଦୀ |hi}}). Also available is {{Lang-hi |some text in ହିନ୍ଦୀ}} which displays as ହିନ୍ଦୀ : some text in ହିନ୍ଦୀ.
- {{R from other language|hi|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from ହିନ୍ଦୀ-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|hi}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to ହିନ୍ଦୀ-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
