ଚିର ବତୀ ଭାରତ-ପାକିସ୍ଥାନ ସୀମାରେ ଥିବା ଭାରତ ଗୁଜରାଟ ରାଜ୍ୟର କଚ୍ଛ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର କଚ୍ଛ-ରଣର ମୌସୁମୀ ଜଳାଶୟ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ବଣି ଘାସଭୂମି ଏବଂ ମତ୍ସ୍ଯ ଲବଣାକ୍ତ ସମତଳ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ମରୁଭୂମିର ଏକ ପ୍ରକାର ଭୂତ-ଆଲୋକ ।^[୧]^[୨] ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀ ଏହି ଆଲୋକକୁ ଚିର ବତୀ କହନ୍ତି । କଚ୍ଛୀ-ସିନ୍ଧୀ ଭାଷାରେ ଚିରର ଅର୍ଥ ଭୂତ ଓ ବତୀର ଅର୍ଥ ଆଲୋକ ।^[୧]
