ବୈଷୟିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ହେଉଛି ବିଜ୍ଞାନର ଏକ ଶାଖା, ଯାହାକି ପ୍ରୟୋଗାତ୍ମକ ଦିଗକୁ ସୁଚାଇଥାଏ । ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଯନ୍ତ୍ର, ଉପକରଣ, ଆକୃତି, ସିଷ୍ଟମ ଓ ପଦାର୍ଥର ଗଠନ, ମରାମତି ଆଦି ପାଇଁ ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ, ଅର୍ଥନୈତିକ, ସାମାଜିକ ଓ ପ୍ରୟୋଗାତ୍ମକ ଜ୍ଞାନକୌଶଳର ବ୍ୟବହାରକୁ ବୈଷୟିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ବା ଇଞ୍ଜିନିୟରିଂ କୁହାଯାଏ ।
