Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name el is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code el, for example: {{Translated page |el |name of page at Greek Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Greek Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Greek Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |el}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|el| some text in Greek}} wraps the text with <span lang="el"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code el to include articles in Category:Articles containing Greek-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Greek |el}}). Also available is {{Lang-el |some text in Greek}} which displays as ଗ୍ରୀକ: some text in Greek.
- {{R from other language|el|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Greek-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|el}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Greek-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
