ସ୍ପାଜମୋଡ଼ିକ ଡିସଫୋନିଆ ବା ଲାରିଞ୍ଜିଆଲ ଡିସଟୋନିଆ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Spasmodic dysphonia, also known as laryngeal dystonia) ଏକ ବେମାରି ଯେଉଁଥିରେ କଣ୍ଠସ୍ୱର (voice) ବାହାରକରୁଥିବା ମାଂସପେଶୀମାନଙ୍କର ସ୍ପାଜ୍ମ (spasm) ହୋଇଯାଏ ।[୧][୨] ଏହ ଫଳରେ ସ୍ୱର ବାଧା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ, କିଛି କିଛି ବାକ୍ୟ ପରେ ସ୍ପାଜ୍ମ ହେଉଥିବାରୁ କଥା ବୁଝିହୁଏନି ।[୧] କଣ୍ଠସ୍ୱର କଷ୍ଟରେ ବାହାରୁଥିବାରୁ ଅନେକ ସମୟରେ କଥା କହିବା ବନ୍ଦ ହୋଇଯାଏ ।[୨] ଏହା ସମୟ କ୍ରମେ ହୁଏ ଓ ଆଜୀବନ ରହେ ।[୧]
ଏହାର କାରଣ ଅଦ୍ୟାବଧି ଅଜ୍ଞାତ ଅଛି ।[୧] ପୂର୍ବରୁ ପାରିବାରିକ ରୋଗ ଇତିହାସ ଥିଲେ ଏହି ରୋଗ ସଙ୍କଟ ଥାଏ । [୧] ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱ ଶ୍ୱାସକ୍ରିୟା ସଂକ୍ରମଣ (upper respiratory infection), ସ୍ୱର ପେଟିକା (larynx) ଉପରେ ଆଘାତ ଓ ମାନସିକ ଚାପ (psychological stress) ପଡ଼ିଲେ ଏହି ରୋଗ ଟ୍ରିଗର ହୋଇଯାଏ ।[୧] କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ସ୍ନାୟୁମଣ୍ଡଳରେ (central nervous system) ଥିବା ବାସାଲ ଗାଙ୍ଗ୍ଲିଆରେ (basal ganglia) କିଛି ତୃଟି ଥିବାରୁ ଏହି ବେମାରୀ ହେଉଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ ।[୧] ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଷୟର ଏକ ଚିକିତ୍ସକ ଦଳ ଏହି ରୋଗ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟରେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି ।[୧]
ଏହି ରୋଗ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ହେଉନଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କଲେ ଲକ୍ଷଣରେ ଉନ୍ନତି ପରିଲକ୍ଷିତ ହୁଏ ।[୧] ସ୍ୱର ପେଟିକାର ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ମାଂସପେଶୀରେ ବୋଟୁଲିନମ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ବିଷ (Botulinum toxin) ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।[୧] କିଛି ମାସ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହି ଉନ୍ନତି ଫଳପ୍ରଦ ରହେ ।[୧] ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଚିକିତ୍ସାମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ସ୍ୱର ଚିକିତ୍ସା (voice therapy), କାଉନସେଲିଙ୍ଗ (counselling)), ଆମ୍ପ୍ଲିଫିକେସନ ଡିଭାଇସ (amplification device) ।[୧] ଅପରେଶନ କ୍ୱଚିତ କରାଯାଏ । [୧]
ପ୍ରତି ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷ ଲୋକରେ ୨ ଜଣ ଏହି ରୋଗରେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ।[୧] ମହିଳାମାନେ ଅଧିକ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ।[୧] ବୟସ ୧୩ରୁ ୫୦ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏହି ରୋଗ ହୁଏ । [୧] ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ସାଂଘାତିକ ହେବା ହାର ଭିନ୍ନ ଭିନ୍ନ ହୁଏ ।[୨] ଆୟଷ (Life expectancy) ବଦଳେ ନାହିଁ ।[୩]
