Usage

This template is intended for placing a message box at the head of an inactive user's talk page so as to alert visitors to the inactivity.

It can be used in either of two ways:

{{User longterm inactive|*|DATE}}

Examples

Suppose the following are placed on the page User talk:Example. Then their effects are as follows.

{{User longterm inactive|12|2001}} produces:

Example has not edited since ଡିସେମ୍ବର 2001. Before leaving a message for this user, consider that it may take a long time for them to read it.
Your query may be better served by other users on a different forum.

{{User longterm inactive|*|December 21, 2001}} produces:

Example has not edited since December 21, 2001.
Before leaving a message for this user, consider that it may take a long time for them to read it.
Your query may be better served by other users on a different forum.

The user name is automatically derived from the page name on which the template is placed.
