Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name ur is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code ur, for example: {{Translated page |ur |name of page at Urdu Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Urdu Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Urdu Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |ur}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|ur| some text in Urdu}} wraps the text with <span lang="ur"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code ur to include articles in Category:Articles containing Urdu-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Urdu |ur}}). Also available is {{Lang-ur |some text in Urdu}} which displays as ଉର୍ଦ୍ଦୁ: some text in Urdu.
- {{R from other language|ur|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Urdu-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|ur}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Urdu-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
