Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name ru is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code ru, for example: {{Translated page |ru |name of page at Russian Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Russian Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Russian Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |ru}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|ru| some text in Russian}} wraps the text with <span lang="ru"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code ru to include articles in Category:Articles containing Russian-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Russian |ru}}). Also available is {{Lang-ru |some text in Russian}} which displays as Russian: some text in Russian.
- {{R from other language|ru|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Russian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|ru}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Russian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
