Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name pi is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code pi, for example: {{Translated page |pi |name of page at Pāli Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Pāli Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Pāli Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |pi}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|pi| some text in Pāli}} wraps the text with <span lang="pi"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code pi to include articles in Category:Articles containing Pāli-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Pāli |pi}}). Also available is {{Lang-pi |some text in Pāli}} which displays as ପାଳି: some text in Pāli.
- {{R from other language|pi|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Pāli-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|pi}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Pāli-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
