Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name es is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code es, for example: {{Translated page |es |name of page at Spanish Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Spanish Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Spanish Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |es}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|es| some text in Spanish}} wraps the text with <span lang="es"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code es to include articles in Category:Articles containing Spanish-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Spanish |es}}). Also available is {{Lang-es |some text in Spanish}} which displays as ସ୍ପାନିଶ: [some text in Spanish] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help).
- {{R from other language|es|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Spanish-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|es}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Spanish-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
