ଆସ୍ପର୍ଗର୍ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ୍ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Asperger syndrome (AS), ବା Asperger's ବା ଏଏସ୍), ଏକ ବିକାଶାତ୍ମକ ବେମାରୀ (developmental disorder) ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ସାମାଜିକ ଓ ଅଣମୌଖିକ ଯୋଗାଯୋଗରେ (nonverbal communication) ତୃଟି ଥାଏ; ସୀମିତ ପୁନଃପୌନିକ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ଓ ରୁଚିର ପ୍ୟାଟର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ।[୧] ଏହା ଏକ ଅଟିଜ୍ମ ସ୍ପେକ୍ଟ୍ରମ୍ ବେମାରୀ (autism spectrum disorder ବା ASD) ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ସାଧାରଣ ଭାଷା ବିକାଶବୁଦ୍ଧିମତ୍ତା ଥାଏ । [୨] ଏଥିରେ ଅସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ ଭାଷା ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ଓ ବେଢଙ୍ଗ ଶାରୀରିକ କ୍ରିୟାକଳାପ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ।[୩][୪] ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ ହେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଏହି ରୋଗ ବାହାରି ଆଜୀବନ ରହେ । [୧]

ଆସ୍ପର୍ଗର୍ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ୍‌ର ସଠିକ୍ କାରଣ ଜଣାଯାଇନାହିଁ ।[୧] ଜେନେଟିକ କାରଣ ଥିବା ସନ୍ଦେହ ଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ହୋଇନାହିଁ ।[୩][୫] ପରିବେଶର ଭୂମିକା ମଧ୍ୟ ଥାଇପାରେ ।[୧] ମସ୍ତିଷ୍ଲ ଇମେଜିଙ୍ଗ ଏକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ନିହିତ କାରଣରୂପେ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ ।[୩] ଏହି ରୋଗକୁ ଏକ ରୋଗ ରୂପେ ବିବେଚନା ନ କରି ଅଟିଜ୍ମ ସ୍ପେକ୍ଟ୍ରମ ବେମାରୀ ଦଳରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ କରାଯାଇଛି । [୧][୬] ସନ ୨୦୧୫ର ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ରୋଗ ବର୍ଗୀକରଣ ସଂସ୍କରଣରେ (International Classification of Diseases) ଏହାର ନାମ ଅଛି ।[୨]

ଏହାର କୌଣସି ଗୋଟିଏ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ନାହିଁ ଓ ଚିକିତ୍ସାର ପ୍ରଭାବ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୀମିତ ଡାଟା ମିଳୁଛି ।[୩] ଯୋଗାଯୋଗ ଦକ୍ଷତା, ଆସକ୍ତି ଓ ପୁନଃପୌନିକ ରୁଟିନ ଓ ଶାରୀରିକ ଅଦକ୍ଷତା ଇତ୍ୟାଦିର ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରିବାକୁ ଲକ୍ଷ ରଖାଯାଏ ।[୭] ସାମାଜିକ ଦକ୍ଷତା ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ, ଜ୍ଞାନାତ୍ମକ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାରିକ ଥେରାପି, ଶାରୀରିକ ଥେରାପି, ଭାଷଣ ଥେରାପି, ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ, ଅବସାଦ ଓ ଉତ୍ତେଜନା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଔଷଧ ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଦେବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରାଯାଏ ।[୭] ଅଧିକାଂଶ ପିଲା ବୟସ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଉନ୍ନତି ଲାଭ କରନ୍ତି ।[୮] କେତେକ ଗବେଷକଙ୍କ ମତରେ ଏହି ରୋଗକୁ ଏକ ରୋଗ ହିସାବରେ ବିଚାର ନ କରି ଏକ ବ୍ୟତିକ୍ରମ ଭାବରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରିବା ଉଚିତ ।[୯][୧୦]

ସନ ୨୦୧୩ର ଆକଳନ ଅନୁସାରେ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୩୧ ନିୟୁତ ଆସ୍ପର୍ଗର୍ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ୍ ରୋଗୀ ଥିଲେ ।[୧୧] ଅଷ୍ଟ୍ରିଆର ଶିଶୁରୋଗ ବିଶେଷଜ୍ଞ ହାନ୍ସ ଆସ୍ପର୍ଗର୍ ସନ ୧୯୪୪ରେ ଏହି ରୋଗୀଙ୍କର ଲକ୍ଷଣମାନଙ୍କର ସବିଶେଷ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରିଥିଲେ ।[୧୨] ଆସ୍ପର୍ଗର୍ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ୍‌ର ଆଧୁନିକ ଧାରଣା ସନ ୧୯୮୧ରେ ଆସିଲା ଓ କିଛି ସମୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟ ଥିଲା ।[୧୩][୧୪][୧୫] ସନ ୧୯୯୦ରେ ଏହି ରୋଗ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ ଏକ ମାନ‌କ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ ଥିଲେ ।[୧୬] ଏହି ବେମାରୀ ଉପରେ ଅନେକ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନବାଚୀ ଓ ବିବାଦ ରହିଛି ।[୮] ଏହି ରୋଗ ହାଇ-ଫଙ୍କସନିଙ୍ଗ ଅଟିଜ୍ମରୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ବିଷୟରେ ସନ୍ଦେହ ରହିଛି । [୧୭] ଏହି କାରଣମାନଙ୍କ ଯୋଗୁ ରୋଗ ପ୍ରତିଶତ ହିସାବ ସଠିକ ଭାବରେ ଆକଳନ କରିହେଉ ନାହିଁ ।[୩]
