ବେଜିଂ ଚୀନର ରାଜଧାନୀ । ଏହା ପୃଥିବୀର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଜନାକୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସହର । ଏହି ସହର ଚୀନର ଉତ୍ତର ଭାଗରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ । ଚୀନର ସରକାର ଏହି ସହରକୁ ସିଧାସଳଖ ମହାନଗର ନିଗମ ଭାବେ ପରିଚାଳିତ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଏହା ସହିତ ଜାତୀୟ ସରକାର ଅଧୀନରେ ୧୬ଟି ପୌରାଞ୍ଚଳ, ଉପ-ପୌରାଞ୍ଚଳ ଓ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟାଞ୍ଚଳ ଶାସିତ ହେଉଛି । ବେଜିଂରେ ଉଭୟ ଆଧୁନିକ ଓ ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ସ୍ଥାପତ୍ୟର ମିଶ୍ରଣ ରହିଛି । ଏହି ନଗର ଶିକ୍ଷା,ରାଜନୀତି, ଅର୍ଥନୀତି, ଇତିହାସ, ପରମ୍ପରା, ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତି ବିଦ୍ୟା ଆଦିରେ ଅନେକ ପ୍ରତିପତ୍ତି ହାସଲ କରିସାରିଛି । ପୌରାଞ୍ଚଳବାସୀଙ୍କଦ୍ୱାରା ଜନାକୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେବାରେ ସାଂଘାଇ ପରେ ବେଜିଂ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଚୀନୀ ସହର । ଏହା ଦେଶର ରାଜନୀତି, ପରମ୍ପରା ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ମଧ୍ୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର । ୨୦୧୦ ମସିହା ପରଠାରୁ ବେଜିଂ ରାଜଧାନୀ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ବିମାନବନ୍ଦର ପୃଥିବୀର ବହୁଳ ଯାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟସ୍ତପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ବିମାନବନ୍ଦର ପାଲଟିଥିଲା ।
ଉତ୍ପତି ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]
୩୦୦୦ ବର୍ଷ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ବେଜିଂର ବହୁତ ନାମ ଥିଲା। ବେଜିଂର ଅର୍ଥ "ଉତ୍ତରାଞ୍ଚଳ ରାଜଧାନୀ"। ବେଜିଂର ସରକାରୀ ଲାଟିନ ଲିପି ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତକରଣ ହେଉଛି "BJ"।

ଜଣାପଡିଛିକି ପୁରାତନ ବେଜିଂ ସହର, ଗୁମ୍ଫାଗୁଡିକର ଡ୍ରାଗନ୍ ବୋନ୍ ହିଲ୍ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଫଙ୍ଗସାନ୍ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଝୁକୁଡ଼ିଆନ ଗ୍ରାମଠାରେ ଠାବ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ପେକିଙ୍ଗ ମ୍ୟାନ୍ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲା। ଯେଉଁ Homo erectus କଙ୍କାଳ ଏହି ଗୁମ୍ଫାରେ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳେ ୨୩୦ ହଜାରରୁ ୨୫୦ ହଜାର ବର୍ଷ ପୂର୍ବର। ପାଲିଓଲିଥିକ ହୋମୋ ସାପିଏନ୍ସ ମଧ୍ୟ ୨୭ ହଜାର ବର୍ଷ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଏଠାରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। ବେଜିଂର ପ୍ରଥମ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥର ନଗର ହେଉଛି ଜୀ ।
