ଇସ୍ତୋର-ଓ-ନଳ (استور و نل, Istor-o-Nal) ହିନ୍ଦୁକୁଶ ପର୍ବତ ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳର ତୃତୀୟ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପାହାଡ ଅଟେ ଏବଂ ଦୁନିଆର ୬୮ ତମ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପାହାଡ ଅଟେ । ୭,୪୦୩ ମୋଟର (୨୪,୨୮୮) ଫୁଟ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଏହି ପର୍ବତ ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ ରୂପେ ପାକିସ୍ତାନର ଚିତ୍ରାଳ ଜେଲରେ ପଡିଥାଏ । ଏହା ହିନ୍ଦୁକୁଶର ସବୁଠାରୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପାହାଡ ତିରିଚ ମୀରରୁ କିଛି କିଲୋମିଟର ଉତ୍ତର-ପୂର୍ବରେସ୍ଥିତ ରହିଛି ଏବଂ ଏହି ଦୁଇ ପାହାଡ଼ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତିରିଚ ହିମାନି (ଗ୍ଲୋସିୟର) ଚାଲିଥାଏ । ବହୁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଇସ୍ତୋର-ଓ-ନଳ ତିରିଚ ମୀରର ବହୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଚୂଳ ପଛପଟେ ଲୁଚି ହୋଇଥାଏ , ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଏହା କମ ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ଅଟେ ।

ନାମ[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]

ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଖୋବାର ଭାଷାରେ "ଘୋଡ଼ା"କୁ "ଇସ୍ତୋର" କୁହାଯାଏ । ଇସ୍ତୋର-ନଳର ଅର୍ଥ "ଘୋଡ଼ାର ଜୋତା" ଅଟେ । ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୋତ ଅନୁସାରେ ଏହି ନାମ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଲେଫ୍ଟେନଣ୍ଟ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନାମକ ଅଫିସର ରଖିଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ଏହା ଏହି ପାହାଡ଼କୁ ସଙ୍କେତ କରିଥାଏ ।[୬]

ଇସ୍ତୋର-ନଳ ମୂଳରେ ସର୍ବ ପ୍ରଥମେ ୮ ଜୁନ ୧୯୫୫ ମସିହାରେ ଏକ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଆମେରିକାର ପର୍ବତରୋହି ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲେ , ଯେଉଁଥିରେ କେନ ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କବାଲା (Ken Bankwala), ଜୋସେଫ ମୁର୍ଫି (Joseph Murphy) ଏବଂ ଥୋମାସ ମଚ(Thomas Mutch) ସାମିଲ ଥିଲେ ।[୭]
