ସେଟମେଲାନୋଟାଇଡ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Setmelanotide), ଇମସିଭ୍ରି ବେପାର ନାମରେ ବିକ୍ରି ହୁଏ, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ମୋଟାପଣର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଜେନେଟିକ କାରଣଗୁଡିକର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।[୨] [୧] ଏଥିରେ ମହତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରୋ-ଓପିଓମେଲାନୋକର୍ଟିନ୍ (POMC) ଅଭାବ, ପ୍ରୋପ୍ରୋଟିନ୍ କନଭର୍ଟେଜ୍ ସବଟିଲିସିନ/କେକ୍ସିନ ପ୍ରକାର 1 (PCSK1) ଅଭାବ, ଲେପ୍ଟିନ୍ ରିସେପ୍ଟର (LEPR) ଅଭାବ ଏବଂ ବାର୍ଡେଟ-ବିଡଲ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ (BBS) ହୋଇପାରେ ।[୨] ଅତିକମରେ ୬ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।[୧] ଚର୍ମ ତଳେ ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ଏହା ଦିଆଯାଏ ।[୨]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ନେଇଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା, ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ଚର୍ମ ସୁକ୍ଷ୍ମ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣକଣିକା ବା ପିଗମେଣ୍ଟେସନ୍, ମୁଣ୍ଡବିନ୍ଧା, ବାନ୍ତି, ତରଳ ଝାଡ଼ା, ପେଟ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଏବଂ ଅବସାଦ ହୋଇପାରେ ।[୨] ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଯୌନ ଉତ୍ପୀଡ଼ନ ଏବଂ ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ହୋଇପାରେ ।[୨] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ କିମ୍ବା ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନ ସମୟରେ ଏହି ଔଷଧ ଦେବାକୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦିଆଯାଇନଥାଏ ।[୨] ଏହା ଏକ ମେଲାନୋକର୍ଟିନ ୪ (MC4) ରିସେପ୍ଟର ଆଗୋନିଷ୍ଟ ।[୨]

୨୦୨୦ ମସିହାରେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏବଂ ୨୦୨୧ରେ ୟୁରୋପରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ ସେଟମେଲାନୋଟାଇଡ ଅନୁମୋଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।[୨] [୧] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ୨୦୨୨ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଏହି ଚିକିତ୍ସା ବାବଦ ମାସକୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୩୩,୦୦୦ ଡଲାର ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହୋଇଥାଏ ।[୪]
