ଜୀବନ

ପିତା ଶ୍ରୀଧର ଦାସ ଓ ମାତା ଇନ୍ଦୁଦେବୀଙ୍କ ତୃତୀୟ ସନ୍ତାନ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ୧୯୩୬ରେ ପୁରୀ ଠାରେ ଜନ୍ମ ଲାଭ କରିଥିଲେ । ସେ କଟକର ମିସନ ସ୍କୁଲ ଓ ରେଭେନ୍ସା କଲେଜରେ ସେ ପଢ଼ା ପରେ ସେ ଆଲ୍ହାବାଦ ବିଶ୍ଵବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ ରାଜନୀତି ବିଜ୍ଞାନରେ ସ୍ନାତକୋତ୍ତର ଡିଗ୍ରି ହାସଲ କରିଥିଲେ ଓ ସେଠାରେ କିଛି କାଳ ପଢ଼ାଇଥିଲେ । ଏହା ପରେ ସେ ଭାରତୀୟ ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ ସେବାରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ।

କିଶୋର କାଳରେ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଲେଖାଲେଖି ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ । ୧୯୫୧ରେ ସେ "ସ୍ତବକ" ନାମରେ ଏକ କବିତା ସଙ୍କଳନ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ । ଓଡ଼ିଆ ପତ୍ରିକା ଡଗର, ଝଙ୍କାର, ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ଆଦିରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଲେଖା ନିୟମିତ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଉଥିଲା । ମନୋଜ ଦାସଙ୍କ ସହ ସେ ଛାତ୍ର ଫେଡେରେସନ ଅଫ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆର ଏକ ଜର୍ଣ୍ଣାଲ "ଆଗାମୀ" ର ସମ୍ପାଦନା କରୁଥିଲେ ।
