ଉପରେ ସଂସ୍କୃତ ଭାଷାରେ ଓ ତଳେ ପର୍ସିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ଲିଖିତ ଶିଳାଲିପି ଯାହା ଆଜରବାଇଜାନର (Azerbaijan) ବାକୁରେ ଥିବା ଅତେଶଗାହ ବାକୁରେ ଥିବା ଅଗ୍ନି ମନ୍ଦିରରେ (fire temple) of en:Baku) ଅଛି । ସଂସ୍କୃତକୁ ପୁରାତନ ଦେବନାଗରୀ ଲିପିରେ ଏକ ମଙ୍ଗଳାଚରଣ ଓ ପର୍ସିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ଏକ ଦୋହା ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଛି । ଅଧିକାଂଶ ହିନ୍ଦୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଭଳି ଏଠାରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ଗଣେଶାୟ ନମଃ ଲେଖି ଆରମ୍ଭ କରାଯାଇଛି । ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଧାଡ଼ିରେ ପବିତ୍ର ଅଗ୍ନି ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ (जवालाजी) ଲେଖାଯାଇଛି । ବିକ୍ରମ ସମ୍ବତ ୧୮୦୨ରେ ଏହା ଲେଖାଯାଇଛି । ଏକ ମାତ୍ର ପର୍ସିଆ ଭାଷାରେ[୧] ଯଦିଓ ବ୍ୟାକରଣ ବ‌ହିର୍ଭୁତ,[୧] ଏହା ଅଗ୍ନି ସମ୍ପର୍କ‌କୁ ହିଜରି ୧୧୫୮ରେ (Hijri 1158 (١١٥٨, i.e. again 1745 CE)) ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଥିବା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ କରୁଛି ।

ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Jwala Ji) (Pahari: जवाला जी, ପଞ୍ଜାବୀ: ਜਵਾਲਾ ਜੀ, ହିନ୍ଦୀ : ज्वाला जी, ଉର୍ଦ୍ଦୁ ଭାଷାରେ: جوالا جی‎) ଜଣେ ହିନ୍ଦୁ ଦେବୀ

Jwala Ji (Pahari: जवाला जी, ପଞ୍ଜାବୀ: ਜਵਾਲਾ ਜੀ, ହିନ୍ଦୀ : ज्वाला जी, Urdu: جوالا جی‎) is a Hindu Goddess. ଅନ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀଙ୍କୁ ଜ‌ୱାଲା ଜୀ, ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଦେବୀ ଓ ଜ୍ୱାଲାମୁଖୀ ଜୀ ମଧ୍ୟ କୁହାଯାଏ । ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ ସର୍ବଦା ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ସମୂହ,[୨] ସଂସ୍କୃତରେ ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଅର୍ଥ ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ଯାହାକୁ ଗୁଏଲହ ମଧ୍ୟ କ‌ହନ୍ତି, ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ : glow ଅର୍ଥ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳତା, Lithuanian: zvilti)[୩] ଓ ଭାରତୀୟ ଉପମହାଦେଶରେ ଜୀ ଶବ୍ଦ ସମ୍ମାନ ଅର୍ଥରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ହୁଏ ।

ବୈଷ୍ଣୋ ଦେବୀ ମନ୍ଦିର ସ‌ହିତ ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ ବା ଜ୍ୱାଲା ମୁଖୀ ଭାରତର ସର୍ବ ପୁରାତନ ମନ୍ଦିର ବୋଲି ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ହୁଏ । ମହାଭାରତ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପୁରାଣମାନଙ୍କରେ ଏହାର ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଛି । ସେଠାରେ ଏକ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ଗୁମ୍ଫା ଅଛି ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଚିରନ୍ତନ ଶିଖା ସର୍ବଦା ଦେଖାଯାଉଛି । କେତେକ ଲୋକ କ‌ହନ୍ତି, ସେଠାରେ ନଅ ଦୁର୍ଗାଙ୍କର ନଅଟି ଶିଖା ଅଛି । ବୌଦ୍ଧ ଧର୍ମରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ସାତ ବେଣ୍ଟିଆ ଶିଖା କଥା ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରନ୍ତି । [୪]

ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ କଙ୍ଗ୍ରା[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]

ଭାରତର ହିମାଚଳ ପ୍ରଦେଶସ୍ଥିତ ନିମ୍ନ ହିମାଳୟରେ ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ ମନ୍ଦିର ଅଛି ଯାହା ହିମାଚଳ ପ୍ରଦେଶର ଧର୍ମଶାଳାଠାରୁ ପ୍ରୟ ୫୫ କି:ମି: ଦୂରରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ । ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିରଟି ଚାରିକୋଣିଆ ଥାଏ, ଗୋଟିଏ ଗମ୍ବୁଜ ଓ ଚତୁର୍ଭୁଜ ଆକାରର ଗାତ ଥାଏ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଫମ୍ପା ପଥର ଭିତରେ ସର୍ବଦ ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ଥାଏ । [୫] ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ଷ ଜୁଲାଇ ଓ ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ମାସରେ ନବରାତ୍ର ସମୟରେ ଏଠାରେ ଏକ ବାର୍ଷିକ ମେଳାର ଆୟୋଜନ ହୁଏ । ଲଖନପାଲ, ଠାକୁର ଗୁଜରାଲ ଓ ଭାଟିଆମାନେ ମାଆ ଜ୍ୱାଲାମୁଖୀଙ୍କୁ କୁଳଦେବୀ ଭାବରେ ପୂଜା କରନ୍ତି । କାଙ୍ଗ୍ରା ସ୍ଥାନଟି ଫୁରୋଜ ଶାହ ତୋଗଲକ ଅଧିନରେ ଥିବାବେଳେ ଏଠାରେ ଏକ ପୁସ୍ତକାଳୟ ତିଆରି ହୋଇଥିଲା ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ବ‌ହିଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସଂସ୍କୃତରୁ ପର୍ସିଆନ ଭାଷାରେ ଅନୁଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।[୬] [୭] କିମ୍ବଦନ୍ତୀ ଅନୁସାରେ ସତୀଙ୍କର ଶରୀର ୫୧ ଖଣ୍ଡିତ ହେବା ପରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଖଣ୍ଡ ସତୀ ମାଆଙ୍କର ଜିଭ ଏଠାରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା ଏହି ଶିଖା ସେଇଥିରୁ ବାହାରିଛି । ଅନ୍ୟ କେତେକ ମତରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଶାଢ଼ୀ ଏଠାରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା । ତାହା ସେଠାରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିବା ପରେ ଯେଉଁ ନିଆଁ ଜଳିଥିଲା ଯାହାକୁ କେହି ନିର୍ବାପିତ କଲେନାହିଁ । ସତୀଙ୍କର ଯୋଗ ଶକ୍ତି ମଧ୍ୟ ଏଠାରେ ପତିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।

ବୈଷ୍ଣୋ ଦେବୀ ମନ୍ଦିର ସ‌ହିତ ଜ୍ୱାଲା ଜୀ ବା ଜ୍ୱାଲା ମୁଖୀ ଭାରତର ସର୍ବ ପୁରାତନ ମନ୍ଦିର ବୋଲି ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ହୁଏ । ମହାଭାରତ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପୁରାଣମାନଙ୍କରେ ଏହାର ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଛି । ସେଠାରେ ଏକ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ଗୁମ୍ଫା ଅଛି ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଚିରନ୍ତନ ଶିଖା ସର୍ବଦା ଦେଖାଯାଉଛି । କେତେକ ଲୋକ କ‌ହନ୍ତି, ସେଠାରେ ସାତ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗୀୟ ଭଉଣୀ ବା ନଅ ଦୁର୍ଗାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ନଅଟି ଶିଖା ଅଛି । ତାଙ୍କର ପତିତ ଜିଭ ଏଠାରେ ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖାର ଆକାର ଧାରଣ କରିଛି ।
