ସନ ୧୯୭୨ରେ ବ୍ରାଡବ୍ରୁକ‌ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ୱେଷ୍ଟ ୟୋର୍କସାୟାରର (West Yorkshire) ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଏଲମସାଲରେ (South Elmsall) ବଢ଼ିଥିଲେ । ତାଙ୍କ ପିତା ଦକ୍ଷିଣ କିର୍ବିର (South Kirkby) ଏକ ଖଣିରେ କାମ କରୁଥିଲେ । ମାଞ୍ଚେଷ୍ଟର ୟୁନିଭରସିଟିରେ (University of Manchester) ମଲିକ୍ୟୁଲାର ବାୟୋଫିଜିକସ ପାଠ କରି ପିଏଚଡି ଲାଭ କରିଥିଲେ । ଭାରତ ଓ ଫ୍ରାନସରେ ସେ ପୋଷ୍ଟଡକ୍ଟରାଲ କାମ କରିଥିଲେ । [୨][୫]

ମାତ୍ର ୧୪ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଅଧିକାର (animal rights) ଉପରେ ଅନୁରାଗ ଦେଖେଇ ବ୍ରାଡବ୍ରୁକ‌ ଏକ ଗ୍ରୀନ ପାର୍ଟି ସଂସ୍ଥାରେ ଯୋଗଦାନ କଲେ । [୭]
