ଓପିକାପୋନ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Opicapone), ଓଙ୍ଗିକାଣ୍ଟସ୍ ଏହାର ଏକ ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ, ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ପାର୍କିନ୍‌ସନ୍ ରୋଗ ପାଇଁ ଲେଭୋଡୋପା/କାର୍ବିଡୋପା ସହିତ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୪] ^[୫] ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଭାବରେ ଏହା ଲେଭୋଡୋପର ପୁର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ମାତ୍ରା ଦେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଚଳପ୍ରଚଳ (motor function) କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ଅସ୍ଥିରତାର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।^[୬] ଉପକାରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଏଣ୍ଟାକାପୋନ ସହିତ ସମାନ ।^[୫] ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୪]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଗତି ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିବାରେ ଅସୁବିଧା (ଡିସକାଇନେସିଆ) ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ | ^[୪] ଅନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ କୋଷ୍ଠକାଠିନ୍ୟ, ନିମ୍ନ ରକ୍ତଚାପ, ଓଜନ ହ୍ରାସ ଏବଂ ମାଂସପେଶୀ ଭାଙ୍ଗିବା ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୫] ଏହା ଲେଭୋଡୋପାର ପ୍ରଭାବକୁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବା ଫଳରେ ମସ୍ତିଷ୍କର କିଛି ଅଂଶର ଗତି ଏବଂ ସମନ୍ୱୟକୁ ଡୋପାମିନ୍ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରେ ।^[୪] ଲେଭୋଡୋପା ଭାଙ୍ଗିବାରେ ଜଡିତ କାଟେକୋଲ-ଓ-ମିଥାଇଲଟ୍ରାନ୍ସଫରେଜ ନାମକ ଏକ ଏନଜାଇମକୁ ଏହା ଅବରୋଧ କରିଥାଏ | ^[୪]

୨୦୧୬ ମସିହାରେ ୟୁରୋପରେ ଏବଂ ୨୦୨୦ରେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ ଓପିକାପୋ ଅନୁମୋଦିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୪] ^[୫] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଜ୍ୟରେ ୨୦୨୧ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଏକ ମାସର ଔଷଧର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୯୪ ପାଉଣ୍ଡ ଥିଲା ।^[୬] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏହି ରାଶିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୬୩୦ ଡଲାର ଅଟେ ।^[୭]
