ସିକ୍ଲୋସ୍ପୋରିନ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Ciclosporin, ଅନ୍ୟ ଉଚ୍ଚାରଣ ସାଇକ୍ଲୋସ୍ପୋରିନ/cyclosporine ବା cyclosporin, ଏକ ରୋଗ ପ୍ରତିହତକାରୀ ଔଷଧ (immunosuppressant medication) ଓ ଏକ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ପଦାର୍ଥ (natural product) ।^[୩] ରିଉମାଟଏଡ ଆର୍ଥ୍ରାଇଟିସ, ସୋରିଆସିସ, କ୍ରନ୍ ରୋଗ, ନେଫ୍ରୋଟିକ ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ (nephrotic syndrome) ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କରେ ଓ ପରିତ୍ୟକ୍ତ (rejection) ନ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଙ୍ଗ ପ୍ରତିରୋପଣ (organ transplant) ଆଦି ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଏହା ପାଟିରେ ବା ଶିରାଭ୍ୟନ୍ତର ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ (injection into a vein) ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୪]^[୩] ଏହା କେରାଟୋକଞ୍ଜଙ୍କଟିଭାଇଟିସ ସିକା (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) ବା ଶୁଷ୍କ ଆଖିରେ ଟୋପା ବା ଡ୍ରପ୍ (eye drops) ଆକାରରେ ପକାଯାଏ ।^[୫]

ସାଧାରଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ରକ୍ତଚାପ, ମୁଣ୍ଡବଥା, ବୃକ୍‌କ ସମସ୍ୟା (kidney problems), ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ଲୋମ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଓ ବାନ୍ତି ହୋଇପାରେ । ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ସାଂଘାତିକ ହେଲେ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ସଂକଟ, ଯକୃତ ସମସ୍ୟା ଓ ଅଧିକ ଲିମ୍ଫୋମା ସଙ୍କଟ ରହେ । ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ସଙ୍କଟ କମେଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ରକ୍ତରେ ଔଷଧର ସ୍ତର ତଦାରଖ କରିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ।^[୪] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ଅପରିପକ୍ୱ ଜନ୍ମ (preterm birth) ସଙ୍କଟ ରହେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଜନ୍ମ ତୃଟି (birth defects) ରହିବା ଜଣାଯାଏନାହିଁ ।^[୬]

ଲିମ୍ଫୋସାଇଟମାନଙ୍କ (lymphocytes) କାମ କମ୍ କରେଇ ସିକ୍ଲୋସ୍ପୋରିନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ ହୁଏ ।^[୪] ଏହା ସାଇକ୍ଲୋଫିଲିନ (cyclophilin) ସ‌ହିତ ଏକ ଯୌଗିକ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରି କାଲସିନିଉରିନର (calcineurin) ଫସଫାଟେଜ (phosphatase) କ୍ରିୟା ଅବରୋଧ କରେ ଯାହାଦ୍ୱାରାଟି-ଲିମ୍ଫୋସାଇଟମାନଙ୍କ (T‐lymphocytes|) ପ୍ରଦାହକାରୀ ସାଇଟିକାଇନସ (inflammatory cytokine) ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି କମିଯାଏ ।^[୭]
