ଲେଭୋନରଜେସ୍ଟ୍ରେଲ ରିଲିଜିଙ୍ଗ ଇମ୍ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Levonorgestrel-releasing implant, ବିକ୍ରୟ ନାମ ଜାଡେଲି/Jadelle) ଏକ ଉପକରଣ ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ୨ଟି ଲେଭୋନରଜେସ୍ଟ୍ରେଲ (levonorgestrel) ଛଡ଼ ଥାଏ ଓ ଏହା ଜନ୍ମ ନିରୋଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦିଆଯାଏ । [୧] ଏହା ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଜନ୍ମ ନିରୋଧକ ଯାହାର ଏକ ବର୍ଷର ଫେଲ ହାର ୦.୦୫% ।[୧][୨] ଏହା ଚର୍ମ ତଳେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ଓ ୫ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ ରହିପାରେ ।[୩] ପେଲଭିକ ଇନଫ୍ଲାମେଟରି ଡିଜିଜ (pelvic inflammatory disease) ଥିବା ଯୋଗୁ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ତଃଜରାୟୁ ଉପକରଣ (intrauterine device) ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିପାରୁନଥିବା ମହିଳାମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିପାରିବେ ।[୩] ଏହା କାଢ଼ିଦେବା ପରେ ଗର୍ଭାଧାନ କ୍ଷମତା (fertility) ଶୀଘ୍ର ଫେରିଆସେ ।[୩]
ସାମାନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ଦେଖାଗଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେହ ଲେଭୋନରଜେସ୍ଟ୍ରେଲ ରିଲିଜିଙ୍ଗ ଇମ୍ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟକୁ ସାଧାରଣତଃ ସହ୍ୟ କରିପାରେ । [୧] ଅନିୟମିତ ଋତୁସ୍ରାବ (menstrual periods), ଋତୁରୋଧ (no periods), ମୁଣ୍ଡବଥା ଓ ସ୍ତନ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ଦେଖାଯାଇପାରେ ।[୩][୪] ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ ଯକୃତ ରୋଗ (liver disease) ଥିଲେ ଏହା ଦେବାକୁ ମନାକରାଯାଏ ।[୩] ଏହା ଏକ ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳୀନ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାବର୍ତ୍ତନଶୀଳ ଜନ୍ମ ନିରୋଧକ (long-acting reversible birth control)[୫] ଏହା ଡିମ୍ବକ୍ଷରଣ (ovulation) ବନ୍ଦ କରିଦିଏ ଓ ଜରାୟୁଗ୍ରୀବା (cervix) ଚାରିପଟେ ଝିଲ୍ଲୀକୁ (mucous) ମୋଟା କରିଦିଏ ।[୪]
ଲେଭୋନରଜେସ୍ଟ୍ରେଲ ରିଲିଜିଙ୍ଗ ଇମ୍ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟ ସନ ୧୯୮୩ରେ ଫିନଲାଣ୍ଡରେ ଓ ସନ ୧୯୯୦ରେ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ବ୍ୟବହାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । [୧] ଏହାର ନାମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ (World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines) ଅଛି ଯାହା ମୌଳିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସିସ୍ଟମ (health system) ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ।[୬] ବିକାଶଶୀଳ ଦେଶମାନଙ୍କରେ (developing world) ଏହି ଔଷଧର ଏକ ସେଟର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୮.୯୩ରୁ ୧୩.୨୯ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାର ।[୭] ଷାଠିଏରୁ ଅଧିକ ଦେଶରେ ଏହା ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇ ୭ନିୟୁତରୁ ଅଧିକ ମହିଳା ଏହାକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି ।[୮][୯] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହା ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହେବା ସତ୍ତ୍ୱେ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ହୋଇନାହିଁଁ ।[୧]
