ସାଲାଇନ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Saline, ଅନ୍ୟ ନାମ ସାଲାଇନ ସଲ୍ୟୁସନ/saline solution) ଏକ ଦ୍ରବଣ ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ସୋଡ଼ିଅମ କ୍ଲୋରାଇଡ (sodium chloride) ଓ ପାଣି ମିଶିଥାଏ; ଏହା ଅନେକ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ହୁଏ ।[୧] ଏହା କ୍ଷତ ସଫା କରିବାରେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରେ, କଣ୍ଟାକ୍ଟ ଲେନ୍ସ (contact lens) ବାହାର କରିବାରେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରେ ଓ ଶୁଷ୍କ ଆଖିରେ (dry eyes) ପକାଯାଏ । ନିର୍ଜଳନ (dehydration) ଥିଲେ ବିଶେଷତଃ ପାକଅନ୍ତନଳୀ ପ୍ରଦାହ (gastroenteritis) ଓ ଡାଏବେଟିକ କିଟୋଏସିଡୋସିସ (diabetic ketoacidosis) ନିର୍ଜଳନରେ ଏହା ଶିରାଭ୍ୟନ୍ତର ଇନଫ୍ୟୁଜନ (injection into a vein) ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ । [୨] ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଉଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟ ଔଷଧମାନଙ୍କୁ ପତଳା କରିବାକୁ ଏହା ମିଶାଯାଏ । [୧]
