ପଲମୋନାରି ସରଫାକ୍ଟାଣ୍ଟ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Pulmonary surfactant) ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ନବଜାତ ଶିଶୁଙ୍କର ହେଉଥିବା ଇନଫାଣ୍ଟ ରେସ୍ପିରେଟରି ସିଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋମ (respiratory distress syndrome) ରୋଗର ପ୍ରତିଷେଧ ଓ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରାଯାଏ । ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଗର୍ଭ ବୟସ (gestational age) ୩୨ରୁ କମ୍‌ରେ ଜନ୍ମ ହେଉଥିବା ପିଲାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଷେଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦିଆଯାଏ । ଏହା ଏଣ୍ଡୋଟ୍ରାକିଆଲ ନଳୀ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।[୧] ଶୀଘ୍ର ଏହାର ପ୍ରଭାବ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୁଏ । [୨] ଅନେକ ଡୋଜ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ହୋଇପାରେ ।[୨]

ଏହାର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଧୀର ହୃଦ୍‌ଗତି (slow heart rate) ଓ ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ ଅମ୍ଳଜାନ ସ୍ତର (low oxygen levels) ହୋଇପାରେ । ଇଣ୍ଟ୍ରାକ୍ରାନିଆଲ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ (en:intracranial bleeding) ମଧ୍ୟ ହୋଇପାରେ ।[୧] ପଲମୋନାରି ସରଫାକ୍ଟାଣ୍ଟ କୃତ୍ରିମ ଉପାୟରେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରାଯାଇପାରେ ବା ଗାଈ ବା ଘୁଷୁରୀର ଫୁସଫୁସରୁ ପୃଥକ କରାଯାଇପାରେ ।[୧][୩][୪]

ସନ ୧୯୫୦ରେ ପଲମୋନାରି ଆବିଷ୍କୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଓ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ସନ ୧୯୯୦ରେ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।[୩] ଏହାର ନାମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ (World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines) ଅଛି ଯାହା ମୌଳିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସିସ୍ଟମ (health system) ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ।[୫] ଏକ ଡୋଜ ପିଛା ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଏହାର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୨୮୧.୬୪ରୁ ୫୪୭.୪୦ ପାଉଣ୍ଡ ।[୧]
