ବାରିଓ ନୋର୍ଟେର ,୧୮୬୦ Santa Fe Avenue ରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ଏହି କୋଠାର[୨] ନକାସା ଆର୍କିଟେକ୍ଟ Peró and Torres Armengol ଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସ୍ଥାପିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।[୩][୪] କୋଠାର ନକାସି ଇଟାଲିୟ କଳାକାର ନାଜାରେନୋ ଓର୍ଲାଣ୍ଡିଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଏହି କୋଠାଟି ପ୍ରଥମେ ଟେଆଟ୍ରୋ ଗ୍ରାଣ୍ଡ ସ୍ପ୍ଲେଣ୍ଡିଡ ନାମକ ଏକ ଥିଏଟର ପାଇଁ ତିଆରି ହୋଇଥିଲା।

ଏହି ଥିଏଟରରେ ୧୦୫୦ ଲୋକ ବସିବା ପାଇଁ ସୁବିଧା ଅଛି। ୧୯୨୪ ମସିହାରେ Glücksmann ନିଜର ରେଡିଓ ଷ୍ଟେସନ (ରେଡିଓ ସ୍ପ୍ଲେଣ୍ଡିଡ) ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯାହା ଏହି କୋଠାରୁ ବ୍ରୋଡକାଷ୍ଟ ହେଉଥିଲା।୧୯୨୯ ମସିହାରେ ଏହି କୋଠାଟିକୁ ସିନେମା ଘରରେ ରୁପାନ୍ତ୍ରିତ କରାହେଇଥିଲା ଓ ଏଠାରେ ଆର୍ଜେଣ୍ଟିନାର ପ୍ରଥମ ଧ୍ୱନୀ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।

ଆର୍କିଟେକ୍ଟ ଫର୍ଣାଣ୍ଡୋ ମାଞ୍ଜୋନଙ୍କର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶରେ ଏହି କୋଠାକୁ ଏକ ବହି ଦୋକାନରେ ରୁପାନ୍ତ୍ରିତ କରାହେଇଥିଲା। ଏଠାରେ ବହି ସହ ସଙ୍ଗିତ ଦୋକାନ ଭି କରାଯାଇଥିଲା; ସିନେମା ହଲର ଜାଗା ହଟାଇ ବହି ଥାକ ରଖାଯାଇଥିଲା।[୫] ନବନିକରଣ କାମ ସରିଲା ପରେ '''ଏଲ ଆଣ୍ଟେନୋ ଗ୍ରାଣ୍ଡ ସ୍ପ୍ଲେଣ୍ଡିଡ''' ୨୦୦୭ ମସିହାରେ ୭,୦୦,୦୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ବହି ବିକିଥିଲା। ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ଏଠାକୁ ୧୦,୦୦,୦୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକ ବୁଲିବାକୁ ଆସନ୍ତି।

ବହି କିଣିବା ପୁର୍ବରୁ ବହି ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଗ୍ରାହକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବହିକୁ ନିରିକ୍ଷିବା ପାଇଁ ସମୟ ଦିଆଯାଏ। ଛାତରେ ଅଙ୍କିତ କଳାକୃତି ଏବେ ଭି ପୁରୁଣା ଇତିହାସର ଭାବନା କୁ ଉଦଜିବ୍ୱିତ କରେଇଦିଏ।[୬] ପ୍ରମୁଖ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ ଖବରକାଗଜ ଦି ଗାରଜିୟନ ଏହାକୁ ବିଶ୍ୱର ୧୦ଟି ଭଲ ବହି ଦୋକାନ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ୨ୟ ସ୍ଥାନ ଦେଇ ଅଛି।[୧]
