ଆୟୋଟ୍ରକ୍ସିକ ଏସିଡ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Iotroxic acid, ଅନ୍ୟ ନାମ ମ୍ୟାଗନେସିଅମ ଆୟୋଟ୍ରକ୍ସେଟ/meglumine iotroxate, ଏକ ପଦାର୍ଥ ଯାହା ରଞ୍ଜନରଶ୍ମି କଲାବେଳେ କଣ୍ଟ୍ରାସ୍ଟ ମିଡିଅମ (contrast medium) ଭାବରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରାଯାଏ ।^[୧]^[୨] ପିତ୍ତକୋଷ (gall bladder) ଓ ବିଲିଆରି ଟ୍ରାକ୍ଟ (biliary tract) ପରୀକ୍ଷା କଲାବେଳେ ଏହା ବିଶେଷ ଭାବରେ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରାଯାଏ । ଏହା ଶିରା ଇନଫ୍ୟୁଜନ (slow injection into a vein) ଆକାରରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୨]

ସାଧାରଣତା କୌଣସି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ହୁଏନାହିଁ ।^[୩] ଯଦି କ୍ୱଚିତ ହୁଏ ତେବେ ବାନ୍ତି, ଚମ ଲାଲ ଦେଖାଯାଏ (skin flushing), ମୁଣ୍ଡବଥା, ଗଲୁ ଓ ନିମ୍ନ ରକ୍ତଚାପ (low blood pressure) ହୋଇପାରେ । କ୍ୱଚିତ୍ ବାତ seizures ମାରେ ଆଲର୍ଜି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ହୋଇପାରେ । ଆୟୋଡିନ ଆଲର୍ଜି (iodine allergy) ଥିବା ଲୋକ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର କରିବା ମନା ।^[୨] ଏହା ଡାଇଓନିକ ଡାଇମର (diionic dimer) ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଏକ ଆୟୋଡିନ ଥିବା କଣ୍ଟ୍ରାସ୍ଟ ମିଡିଆ (iodine containing contrast media) ଥିବା ପଦାର୍ଥ ।^[୪]

ଆୟୋଟ୍ରକ୍ସିକ ଏସିଡ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସନ ୧୯୭୬ରେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।^[୫] ଏହାର ନାମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ (World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines) ଅଛି ଯାହା ମୌଳିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସିସ୍ଟମ (health system) ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ।^[୬] ବିକଶିତ ଦେଶମାନଙ୍କରେ (developed world) ଏମଆରସିପି (magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography ବା MRCP) ମିଳୁଥିବାରୁ ଏହା କ୍ୱଚିତ ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ହୁଏ । ^[୭]
